AMAZING

"It boggles the mind how useful this thing is. Perfect for those days when it can't make up its mind whether it will rain or snow or sleet or some combination of all three."

Good alternative to a traditional shell

"I wanted to try icebreakers new shell + as an alternative to the traditional 3 layer waterproof shell I was looking for a more breathable shell for high output activities and this had been meeting my needs so far I can wear it for fast pace hikes with insulating layers underneath and I stay dry and comfortable unlike when I wear a traditional shells I always end up with condensation on the inside of my shell feeling like I am wearing a garbage bag. The fit is ok as others said the sleeves are a little on the short side but work for me as feel I have an average build the hem is hip length which I like for hiking as it doesn't restrict my stride it is cut on the relaxed side witch helps for laying but I would prefer a slimmer cut it is listed as water resistant so light snow or light rain is fine but it will eventually soak through in a steady rain I like the feel of the fabric it feel durable the chest vent zippers are not very useful I would prefer actual chest pockets and pit zips for ventilation. Overall I am pleased with the performance of the shell it seems versatile for various weather conditions with different layers underneath."

Not a great design

"I really like the fabric. Unfortunately the design of this jacket is not very good. Jackets and sleeves are too short. When lifting arm, jackets rises very high. Vents in the wrong location. Snap buttons on sleeves not very useful when wearing gloves. Please redesign this jacket to be multipurpose and functional ( like many other outdoor brands) and this could be a successful product."

A great idea with a few fatal flaws

"I really wanted to like this. Love the idea of a non plastic ski jacket. The dealbreakers: sleeves are too short. Nothing like having gapping between your gloves and jacket on the hill. Also, there is no way to secure the sleeves to your gloves. The 2 snaps are woefully inadequate/loose. Need more snaps at the cuff or Velcro. The bad: no chest pockets. Those chest zips are actually just vents, which is the worst of all possible worlds because they don't vent much, but let water in, and don't store anything. Give me chest pockets. And pit zips. The good: the fabric is very breathable but still fairly wind resistant. Nice weight and hand feel. Good overall fit. Although maybe an inch longer hem would be nice."
