"This vest is an absolute winter essential! It keeps me perfectly warm and snug without ever feeling bulky. I usually wear it over a Merino base layer and when I'm skiing, I just add a shell on top. It keeps me toasty without overheating, even on long runs. The fit is spot-on too: I'm Asian, 5'2"", usually between size 8–12, and a Medium is the perfect fit."

"This Merinoloft vest is handy on a mild day worn on top of layers, or worn indoors to keep warm during the winter. The 2 way zipper is fiddly and low quality for a new IB. The side panels allow versatility to sweat when doing yardwork, though may not provide maximum loft if looking for warmth as an extra layer from inland chill. A temperature rating would have helped for comparing what conditions each item is suited for. I was disappointed IB did not have any merino women's shirts, while the men's selection is broader. I hope IB, like other NZ merino brands will bring back Dawnder flannel and merino shirts for curvy women."

No I would not buy again

"Love this jacket. Warm cosy stylish Disappointed with the zipper, hard to engage and needs 2-3 tries to zip it up . Not sure why it needs the up and down opening. Option. Is this just My vest or is this an issue on all of this style???? As a result of the zipper malfunctioning, I would not recommend. What a shame??"

Good length for taller people

"Really nice product. I am 5'8"" so I appreciate the longer length. I am slim and normally wear size 4 or 6 on top. Slim fit, but I could get a light sweater underneath. Crisp fabric finish."
